Dong Ban Ja won second prize in the integration competition of the Foundation "Citizens for Citizens"


Dong Ban Ja, the intercultural hospice service of the HVD Berlin came in second place on the national integration competition of “Citizens for Citizens” Foundation, “participation and integration of immigrants through civic engagement”.

A total of 161 entries had been submitted from all over Germany. The eight best projects were awarded at the Red City Hall in Berlin on May 26, 2010.

The Book-reading project "Fairytale in the Park" from Wuppertal has won first prize and got 2,500 euros.  Dong Ban Ja was the second prize winner and awarded € 2010 from the Foundation.

The intercultural hospice Dong Ban Ja is one of two prize-winning projects from Berlin.The Foundation "Citizens for Citizens", where the former Federal President Roman Herzog acts as patron, had organized the competition for the fifth time in order to promote the participation and integration of immigrants in Germany.
